After the spread of “Marburg” globally… Is Lebanon in danger?

Representative Abd al-Rahman al-Bizri affirmed that “the political problem was reflected in the economic and living conditions,” noting that “we are living today not only in a state of presidential vacancy, but also in a state of disruption, disintegration and collapse of state institutions.”

In an interview with “Voice of All Lebanon”, he believed that “the political solution is still difficult and there are no quick signs of a solution, and the most dangerous thing is that the internal dynamic for electing a president of the republic appears to be stalled,” pointing out that “Lebanon is facing a period not short of vacancy, continued obstruction, and the emergence of crises.”

In response to a question regarding the dollarization of goods, Al-Bizri considered that it “imposed itself de facto, especially because of the fluctuations in the price of the dollar per day,” pointing out that “despite the setting of an index for the drug by the Ministry of Health, the fluctuation in prices sometimes pushes the citizen It leads to the storage of medicines, and it also causes the medicine to disappear from the market.”

As for the Marburg virus, Al-Bizri explained that it is “a dangerous and deadly virus, but an epidemic that can be controlled because those infected with it cannot move around, and therefore it can be contained in Spain.”

He reassured that Lebanon “is not in danger, but the possibility of the virus entering is possible in light of the movement of travel from one country to another.”
