Books – Youssef Afifi:
Giza Governorate announced the implementation of several strategic and national projects and the development of the efficiency of roads and traffic axes.
This came following President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the government to prepare a study to establish a number of traffic axes in densely populated areas within Giza Governorate to facilitate the movement of citizens there.
In today’s statement, the governorate reviewed these projects and themes as follows:
– Establishing the Anwar El-Sadat axis as an alternative to Al-Ahram Street during the implementation of the fourth line project for the metro.
– Construction and development of the Mansourieh Walkway and Road.
The construction of the middle road, the second sector, with a length of 30 km, at a cost of 2.9 billion pounds.
Duplicate Al-Wahat Road, with a length of 283 km and a cost of 2.3 billion pounds.
– Developing and raising the efficiency of the Al-Wahat Road, with a length of 27 km.
– Developing the extension of Al-Wahat Road from Fayoum Road to the new 6th of October City, with a length of 30 km.
– Construction of the Southern Ring Road around 6th of October City, with a length of 21 km.
– Completion of the construction of the regional ring with a length of 48 km.
The development of the Western Cairo-Assiut Road, 45 km long, at a cost of 1 billion pounds, including 3 sectors in Giza Governorate.
– Construction of the Renaissance Tunnel at a cost of 406 million pounds.
Construction of the 6.5 km Kafrawy Corridor linking Hosary and Vodafone Square, at a cost of EGP 166 million.
– Establishing the central axis linking July 26 and the industrial zone with a length of 6 km, at a cost of 53 million pounds.
The construction of the axis of Lieutenant-General Kamal Amer, with a length of 15 km, from the ring road in the south to the axis of Dabaa, at a cost of 4 billion pounds.
Construction of the Sphinx International Airport at a cost of 508 million pounds.
– Construction of the third metro line stations at a cost of EGP 2.6 billion.
Establishing the Grand Egyptian Museum at a cost of $1.4 billion.
