On August 8, 2023, a little girl and her mother went to Liege police to file a complaint against Steven. The teen explained that her mother’s companions physically assaulted her. On the night of August 4 and 5, 2023, after spending the night in le Carré with his mother and her companion Steven, they all returned to his sister’s apartment to spend the night.

He and Steven got into an argument because Steven was talking too loudly and was preventing him from sleeping. Moreover, he said bad things about her.

Steven denies the assault and battery charges. He claimed the girl tried to hit him and he dodged her kick. According to him, the mother intervened between them, slapped her daughter twice and pushed her to the sofa…

As for the threats, the defendant admitted to expressing himself in the following terms:If they want to complain, I’ll go home and everyone there will answer the phone“wait”If she wants to file a complaint or her sister wants to file a complaint, I will do more substantial things to avoid going to jail in vain.”. The parties did not appear in court to answer the facts against which they were charged.
The judge took into account the disruption he caused to social order and public order and also took into account his persistence in committing crimes despite numerous previous judicial convictions. The court highlighted the seriousness of the facts and the lack of genuine appreciation of the unacceptable nature of his conduct.
