Mohamed Shawky, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Cairo, decided to convert 3 hospitals in the capital to work completely as hospitals to isolate people infected with the Corona virus.
According to a letter to the Directorate of Health Affairs in Cairo, obtained by Masrawy, “Shawky” decided to transfer the Abbasid chest hospitals, Abbasid fevers, and Helwan fevers, from Jazni isolation hospitals to complete isolation hospitals; To accommodate the expected numbers of hospitalization cases due to the increase in waiting cases with the beginning of the sixth wave of the Corona pandemic.
This decision was implemented starting last Tuesday, in light of the follow-up to the epidemiological situation of the Corona pandemic.
The letter indicated that recent weeks have witnessed a noticeable increase in the number of corona cases visiting hospitals, and what is expected of an increase in hospitalization cases.
The letter stipulated allocating an isolation room in all hospitals to reserve waiting and emergency cases of corona cases until they are transferred to isolation hospitals, provided that paths are allocated for confirmed or suspected corona cases, and others for reception and emergency departments in all hospitals.
