Philip Morris announced today, Monday, that it raised the prices of “LM” cigarettes by one pound, while maintaining the prices of “Marlboro” and “Merritt” cigarettes of all kinds.
Philip Morris sent a table of cigarette prices to the IRS, which included an increase in the price of red, blue and silver “LM” cigarettes to 34 pounds, compared to 33 pounds, while the price of Merit cigarettes of all kinds reached 49 pounds, Marlboro red and gold, 46 pounds per pack, and Marlboro Crafted. All kinds of 36 pounds.
New prices apply starting today
LM Red: 34 pounds.
LM Blue: 34 pounds.
Silver LM: 34 pounds.
LM Forward per box: 34 pounds.
While the company kept other types of cigarettes unchanged in their price:
Red Marlboro: 49 pounds.
Golden Marlboro: 46 pounds.
Marlboro purple mix per box: 46 pounds.
Marlboro crafted all kinds: 36 pounds.
LM motion of all kinds: 28 pounds.
Eastern cigarette prices for smoke
It is noteworthy that the Eastern Company for Tobacco, the largest producer of cigarettes in Egypt, announced earlier an increase in the prices of ten types of cigarettes it produces. The prices of packs of Cleopatra King Size, Cleopatra Soft Queen, Cleopatra Box, and Super cigarettes increased to 17.5 pounds, 18 pounds, 19 pounds, and 20 pounds, respectively.
The Ministry of Finance aims to collect taxes on tobacco products and cigarettes worth 79 billion pounds during the current fiscal year, which ends at the end of next June, an increase of 7 billion pounds over the previous fiscal year.
