The prices of the Saudi riyal jumped once morest the pound at the beginning of trading today, Monday, compared to the end of trading on Sunday, with a sudden decline in the exchange rate of the pound.
The price of the Saudi riyal in the National Bank of Egypt reached 4.65 pounds for purchase, and 4.66 pounds for sale, an increase of 46 piasters.
The price of the riyal in Banque Misr recorded 4.43 pounds for purchase, and 4.66 pounds for sale.
The price of the Saudi riyal in Banque du Caire reached 4.65 pounds for purchase, and 4.67 pounds for sale.
The price of the Saudi currency at the Commercial International Bank reached 4.65 pounds for purchase, and 4.67 pounds for sale.
This comes following the dollar’s price once morest the pound jumped by regarding 176 piasters during today’s trading, reaching 17.40 pounds for purchase, and 17.50 pounds for sale in Al-Ahly and Egypt banks.
The Central Bank of Egypt suddenly raised interest rates by 1%, in an extraordinary meeting today, Monday, of the Monetary Policy Committee.
The National Bank of Egypt and Egypt issued a new one-year certificate with a return of 18% annually, to be paid on a monthly basis.
