A pharmacist deluded citizens, with his ability to manufacture medicinal formulations that help slim and lose weight, and established a channel on “YouTube”, to promote therapeutic products, to achieve large financial gains illegally, and the security services were able to arrest the accused.
Information was confirmed by the investigations of the General Administration of Works Investigation and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights, in the specialized police sector, that a pharmacist named Mohamed El-Azab, owner of a pharmacy, residing in the Sinbillawain Police Station Department in Dakahlia, deceived citizens and deluded them into his ability to manufacture medicinal formulations in the field of slimming and treating thinness. And the establishment and management of a channel on YouTube and a page on the social networking site “Facebook” without a license from the concerned authorities, to promote therapeutic products that it manufactures, through advertisements that it films and broadcasts without a license, and it also trades in medicines that are manufactured inside a factory without a license. A license to manufacture medicines from unknown ingredients without taking the necessary health requirements to preserve the health of citizens in violation of the law.
After codifying the procedures, in coordination with the “National Security – Public Security” sectors, and in partnership with the Dakahlia Security Directorate and the concerned authorities, the aforementioned factory and pharmacy were targeted, and the aforementioned was seized, and by inspection in his presence, “unidentified bottles of pharmaceutical ingredients prepared for sale, and the used mobile phone.” In managing channels through my social networking sites “YouTube, Facebook, a laptop, a computer, 4 mobile phones”, they are used in the operations of managing the sale and circulation of manufactured medicines, in a primitive manner without any health requirements and from unknown ingredients, and files containing customer data and medicines are loaded on them. And the methods of their manufacture, sales accounts and customer lists, a sum of money from sales proceeds, manufacturing equipment, a group of medicines manufactured by the accused, with a total of 493 bottles of unknown pharmaceutical ingredients prepared for sale, a group of medicinal drugs of unknown origin with a total of 196000 tablets, capsules and herbal slimming packets, a sum of Sale proceeds.
By confronting him, he admitted that he was the owner of the aforementioned pharmacy and factory and his ownership of the seized items, and that he had committed these violations with the intent of making a material profit.
