After the acquittal: Now Red Bull team boss Christian Horner speaks out

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner reacted with relief to the dismissed complaint following allegations of inappropriate behavior at the Formula 1 season opener in Bahrain.

“I’m just happy that the process is over. The solidarity within the team has never been so strong,” said the 50-year-old Englishman on Sky Sports. However, he might not comment on the details.

“The focus is on the Grand Prix, the season and trying to defend both titles.” When asked if he regretted that the trial became public, Horner once more declined to comment. “I’m happy to be here in Bahrain and the team is concentrating on the coming season,” said the sporting director of the Austro racing team.

Red Bull said in a statement on Wednesday that an employee’s complaint once morest Horner was dismissed following an independent investigation. Horner, who has been married to former Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell since 2015, denied all allegations once morest him and continued to lead the team during the trial.

Red Bull said the investigation report will remain confidential. The complaining party has the right to appeal; according to British media, the employee is even considering taking legal action.

“Christian Horner has won the fight of his life,” wrote the English daily Daily Mail. Horner has led the racing team from Milton Keynes since entering the premier class of motorsport in 2005, and has since won seven drivers’ and six constructors’ titles.

It remains to be seen whether calm will return to the superior Formula 1 team of the past two years. According to information from Motorsport-Total.com, the Thai Red Bull shareholders are behind Horner as team boss, the Austrian wing of the group is apparently clearly of the opinion that Horner is no longer tenable in his position.
