In the document just reported to the Employment Department (Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that by January 27 (the 6th lunar month), more than 42% of businesses in the area had resumed operations. More than 50% of businesses will operate on July 30 (lunar day 9).

The reason is, because the 6th day of the lunar calendar falls on a Friday, some businesses create conditions for employees to take a break until the end of the week and return to work on the 9th of the lunar calendar.

For businesses that return to work on the 6th day of the lunar calendar, the rate of employees coming to work accounts for 95%. In which, laborers working in the foreign-invested sector and non-state enterprises accounted for more than 94%, and state enterprises accounted for 97.6%.

The city also said that in February, it will organize many job transaction activities conducted by employment service units.
