The famous singer suffers from a rare syndrome and no effective medication has been found for it yet
A year following revealing that she was afflicted with the rare “stiff person syndrome,” Claudette, the sister of international artist Celine Dion, said during an interview with the Canadian magazine “Joys 7” that her sister “lost control of her muscles.” Claudette added that her sister is working hard to return to the stage in the future.
Claudette said during the interview, “What breaks my heart is that she was disciplined and worked hard all the time. Our mother always told her: ‘You will do it right.’ In her dreams and ours, the goal is to return to the stage. But in what way? I have no idea.”
Her sister added: “The vocal cords are muscles, and the heart is a muscle too.” She continued, “Because the disease affects only one in a million people, scientists have not studied it in depth.
