Hyundai has finally updated the 2025 Tucson, and thanks to a redesigned center console, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard on all Tucsons.
There are some minor updates to the exterior styling, including the headlight design.
Powertrain
The Tucson’s hybrid system gets a very small power increase (from 226 to 231 hp), though you’re unlikely to notice the difference.
The hardware is the same, but Hyundai says it now gets more power from the existing battery. The other powertrains remain the same. The gasoline-powered Tucson has 187 horsepower, and the PHEV tops the list with 268 horsepower.
The EPA estimates the gasoline Tucson’s combined mileage to be 28 mpg, while the Tucson Hybrid still gets a whopping 38 mpg combined.
Internal
The Tucson now has a pair of 12.3-inch screens that create a panoramic effect and include wireless smartphone connectivity.
The redesigned center console features a wireless charging panel on the lid. This is beyond where the charging pad would normally be located below the center screen.
It’s little quality-of-life tweaks like this that make the refreshed Tucson a better place for drivers and passengers.
The gas-powered Tucson starts at $29,750, while the hybrid starts at $34,510. The plug-in hybrid is even more expensive at $40,775 and comes only with all-wheel drive.
Hyundai’s compact SUV remains an attractive option and a very competitive model in the segment.
