I wrote – Mona El Mougy:
After her statements regarding the Egyptian man spread widely on social media, and sparked controversy between supporters and opponents, the Syrian singer Lina Shammian came out to comment on the matter in a video she posted on her personal account on Facebook.
Lina wrote a comment on the video, “No one is upset, and let us meet Live soon. We agree on a date next week. They are always fine.. My love.” Latifah and indigestion, and I felt people were a little upset, I made a short video and the post was cut from an interview that was filmed for 3 hours, in the end it only came out for 17 minutes.
She explained, “In this interview, I talked regarding art, travel, love, marriage, and the way of expressing and dealing with the husband in Syria, not only regarding Egypt. I talked regarding men and women in parallel, but the one that spread to men was completely in front of the post regarding women, two years ago I arrived in Egypt and I was very tired humanly, Egypt embraced me and gave me companions, a family and family, God blessed me with a quantity of good people, the Jadaan in work and friendship, I have a real family in Egypt, and I eased the estrangement a lot, in Egypt I felt less alienation.
Lina added, “In general, I feel that the interviews tell regarding many negative things, but it is possible to talk in the interview. I wanted to highlight the positive things, and in every society there are good and bad people, oppressed people and unjust people for sure, I did not know anything positive regarding the men who were Around me, I was talking regarding work, drivers and sellers, a kind word appreciates its value, and there was a huge amount of women in my life before I arrived. They taught me regarding independence, strength and support. There was a great stubbornness from them. I’m sorry, that was not intended.”
Lina had appeared in an interview with the “Men” platform on “YouTube”, and flirted with the Egyptian man, saying, “Oh, sure, I can marry an Egyptian man, very nice, by the way. The pampering I see from the Egyptian man, I did not see it from any other man. He has a personal relationship to pamper you, he is ashamed and respectful when you treat him in a certain way, he speaks in a certain tone and a certain softness, and any six Syrians you would ask her regarding the Egyptian man, she would tell you very funny and very good, but you talk to him in the language that revolves his heart, he will give you his heart.
