After she described him as Al-Aqra’, a Kuwaiti court issued its verdict against the media, Mai Al-Aidan, in the case of insulting the artist, Ahmed Badir.

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Court of Appeal in Kuwait canceled the acquittal of broadcaster Mai Al-Aidan in the case of insulting the Egyptian artist Ahmed Badir and a fine of 500 dinars, which was issued by the Court of First Instance, and issued its new ruling fining Mai Al-Aidan 500 dinars, and referring the case to the competent civil court. According to the Egyptian “Sada Al-Balad” website, the lawyer Ashraf Abdel Aziz, who is handling the case of the artist Ahmed Badir with the Kuwaiti lawyer Hussein Al-Asfour, said that the artist Ahmed Badir is scheduled to demand a financial compensation of one million dinars following offending him. The Kuwaiti media, Mai Al-Aidan, had announced the verdict of her innocence in the case of “insulting and defaming” the artist Badir, expressing her thanks to the Kuwaiti judiciary, and that was last year. It is noteworthy that Al-Aidan has sparked controversy recently when she commented on a picture she published of the artist Badir and his daughter, and commented on it saying: “A picture of the daughter of the artist Ahmed Badir… By God, his daughter was born, Mazza, the daughter of Al-Aqra’.”
