While the State of Israel is “celebrating” the sad Passover eve of 2024 in the shadow of the war in Gaza, the war in the north and of course the 133 abductees still in the captivity of Hamas – the Netanyahu family held a Passover seder at the luxury Waldorf Astoria hotel. After the holiday, the Prime Minister’s wife, Sara Netanyahu, uploaded photos from the event to her Instagram and wrote: “Together with the Prime Minister, we hosted individual soldiers and female soldiers yesterday for a moving Passover Seder night. The soldiers and female soldiers who came from the USA, Canada, Great Britain, France, Italy, Russia and South Africa serve in combat units, and most of them fought in Gaza. We left an empty chair in the center of the seder table and on it we presented photos of all 133 abductees who are still in Hamas captivity.”
The thing that stirred up the network in Netanyahu’s post is the mutilated photo that appeared in that post and has since been deleted. You don’t need to be an expert in Photoshop to understand that the image that appeared in Sarah Netanyahu’s account together with the Prime Minister looks completely different from the wider picture. The surfers, of course, might not remain indifferent to the digital work that was done mainly on Sarah, making her younger.

On the right is a photo that Sarah posted on social mediaAll this beauty was photographed on Seder night at the Waldorf Astoria. This is what Netanyahu’s office is dealing with. pic.twitter.com/Rjj73jIizE

Along with the many jokes on the subject, there was also much criticism of the conduct of the Prime Minister and his wife.

It’s not retouching anymore, it’s Jack the Ripper.
The Netanyahu family tries, as usual, to sell us illusions of beauty and glamour, so as not to face reality. pic.twitter.com/2pJ2JB3ELM

The post with the photoshopped image of Sara Netanyahu was deleted, and a new post appeared without it.
We can go back to talking regarding what is really disturbing in this post – there have been 133 abductees for 200 days and the prime minister and his wife are taking pictures with an empty chair while people from the negotiating team claim that Netanyahu delayed a deal to return the abductees.— Michal Peylan • Michal Keiflan (@michalpeylan) April 23, 2024
I don’t understand the criticism of this photo of Sara Netanyahu, in her place I too would be ashamed to show my face in public. pic.twitter.com/vxg7cMJzpI

There were also surfers who criticized the discussion surrounding the image in general:
Wow, let go of Sara Netanyahu’s appearance already.
People get old and try to hide it. Shocking.

Some surfers compared the new photo to old photos of Sara Netanyahu and joked that it was not photoshopped

It seems that the surfers on Twitter mostly enjoyed laughing at the young look Sarah got following the retouching.
