The famous Moldovan singer Dan Balan, who returned to Ukraine a month ago, gave a concert in Odesa on Friday, August 9. Despite the drive and incredible performance of hits, the long-awaited performance of the artist was not remembered by fans for this.

Dan Balan conquered the audience not only with music, but also with his sincerity. Between the performances of the songs, he communicated and addressed the fans exclusively in the Ukrainian language. Fans of the performer shared a video from the concert on the network.

It is noticeable that it is still difficult for Dan to speak Ukrainian, but his efforts were highly appreciated by the people of Odessa. They loudly applauded and supported the singer. Balan once again expressed his support for Ukraine and called our language “wonderful”.

“Odesa! So many emotions in this city! How do you like my Ukrainian? Today I will speak this wonderful language,” said the performer.

By the way, this is not the first time that the artist speaks Ukrainian. He regularly signs his posts on the network in Ukrainian, and the other day he recorded a video message to his fans in Ukrainian.

Balan’s position on the war in Ukraine

In the first days of the full-scale invasion, the singer posted a photo with a blue and yellow flag in support of Ukraine on his Instagram. Dan lived in Kyiv until February 24, 2022, and then left for his native Moldova.

For more than a year, Balan did not speak about the war, but in May 2023, he released a music video for the song “Love Maria”, which was filmed in Kyiv. More than 2,000 Ukrainian students appeared in the video. Also, last December, during his concert in Chisinau, the performer mentioned Ukraine and spoke Ukrainian.

Among Balan’s most famous songs are “Lendo Calendo”, “Allegro Ventigo”, “Freedom”, “Hold On Love”.

We will remind, earlier Slava Dyomin reacted to Dan Balan’s return to Ukraine. The presenter believes that the singer has many prospects in Ukraine.
