I worked for 60 years in the judiciary, working as a lawyer, and I will retire from public work.”

Mahran added, in exclusive statements to “Masrawy”, that the matter is still under study, as the next session, tomorrow, Wednesday, is a foregone conclusion, and the death sentence will be pronounced, and that the role of the defense will begin from this date in submitting a memorandum of appeal in cassation and presenting aspects of defense and defenses that would change Consider the lawsuit.
Mahran pointed out that the issue of paying blood money – it has not been discussed at all yet from near or far – does not mean that the accused will be acquitted in the case, but it does reduce the sentence issued once morest him.
Cassation lawyer Ashraf Nagy said that it is not legal to reconcile or compromise in the crime of premeditated murder once morest the accused of killing the student Naira Ashraf, explaining that the crime of premeditated murder falls within the scope of the right of society as a whole and is not just a personal harm.
Nagy added, in statements to Masrawy, that assuming that the accused’s family paid “blood money” to the victim’s family, it has no effect other than their waiver of the civil lawsuit that enables them to request compensation before the civil court.
The head of the Mansoura Criminal Court, Counselor Bahaa El-Din Al-Marri, had decided to refer the papers of the accused of killing the Mansoura student, Naira Ashraf, to the Mufti of the Republic, and the July 6 session was set to pronounce the verdict.
