The YouTuber, Nabawia Anoush, who runs the “Anoush Diaries” channel, is still imprisoned pending investigations because she presented videos of her daily routine in “scandalous” clothes. Today, Saturday, the opposition judge in the South Cairo Court renewed her detention.

The case of YouTuber Anoush began with a report to the Public Prosecutor, which was submitted by lawyer Ashraf Farhat, the founder of a campaign called “Society Cleansing”, and he carried number 130,724 electronic petitions.

In his communication, he accused “Farhat” the owner of “Anoosh TV” of broadcasting sexual content on her channel, in addition to committing a scandalous public act, and insulting Egyptian society.

The author explained that the morality investigations confiscated with the accused two mobile phones with a number of clips that contradict the values ​​of society, and incite immorality and debauchery, and documents explaining what she gets in exchange for broadcasting the videos and indicating that she earns $1,000 per week.

The security services in Cairo arrested a woman for broadcasting video clips containing gestures and signs contrary to public morals, following the monitoring unit monitored the circulation of video clips on websites, including a woman committing acts of shame and public morals.

She was found in possession of two mobile phones containing video clips and pictures confirming her activity, a laptop, 2 routers, 3 Visa cards, 2 photography stands and a lighting circuit. The accused said that she broadcasts and publishes the clips with the aim of increasing viewership to achieve financial profits of approximately $1,000 per week.

The investigation authorities seized the money of “Nabawiya Anoush”, the owner of the daily routine channel in banks, and seized her jewelry, as part of the ongoing investigations with the accused.

She also ordered the arrest and bringing of her husband, a real estate broker, following the accused revealed that her ex-husband returned to her following learning of her profits from YouTube videos, and helped her publish and photograph.

The owner of the “Anoosh” channel on Facebook is accused of violating family principles and values ​​in Egyptian society, in addition to publishing offensive videos on social networking sites and creating and managing a website to commit these crimes.

After the completion of the investigations, the prosecution is scheduled to refer the accused to the economic court specialized in examining crimes committed on social media, according to what was stipulated in Law No. 175 of 2018 on Combating Information Technology Crimes, in addition to the Penal Code.

Article 25 of the Information Technology Crimes Law punishes the perpetrator of the crime of “violating family values” with imprisonment for a period of no less than 6 months, and a fine of no less than 50,000 pounds and no more than 100,000 pounds, or one of the two penalties.

The penalty for managing an electronic account for the purpose of publishing obscene videos and violating the family values ​​​​of society is two years imprisonment and a fine of not less than 100,000 pounds and not more than 300,000 pounds.

As for the crime of publishing obscene videos, the penalty is imprisonment for a period of no more than two years and a fine of no less than 5,000 pounds “for anyone who publishes video clips on social media if they are indecent,” according to Article 178 of the Penal Code.
