After recommending him and pledging allegiance to the Council of Ministers, the Emir of Kuwait appoints Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah as Crown Prince

Kuwait – The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, yesterday, Sunday, issued an Emiri order appointing Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah as Crown Prince, following an order was issued recommending him yesterday, Saturday.

The textual content of the Emiri order said: “After reviewing the Structure, Legislation No. 4 of 1964 relating to the inheritance of the emirate, the Emiri Order issued on April 15, 2024 appointing the Prime Minister, the Emiri Order issued on Might 10, 2024, and Decree No. 73 issued On Might 12, 2024 to type the ministry, and primarily based on the Emiri order issued on June 2, 2024 recommending the Crown Prince, and following pledging allegiance to the Council of Ministers, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah is appointed as Crown Prince.

Following the issuance of the order, the Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah obtained at Seif Palace this morning the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah to take the constitutional oath.

Whereas the Emir of Kuwait congratulated his Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah mentioned, “I pledge to you that I can be devoted to serving my nation, devoted to its pursuits, preserving its safety and stability, caring for its values, authenticity, and unity, diligent in its elevation and progress, dedicated to the teachings of our true Islamic faith, and adhering to our established nationwide constants.”

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, and senior state officers.
