The price of gold stabilized today in Egypt during the dealings of the first nights of Ramadan, coinciding with the US Federal Reserve raising interest rates by 0.25% today, despite the rise in international prices, according to what Naguib, former Secretary General of the Gold Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy.
The price of a gram of gold had jumped 30 pounds by this evening, compared to noon trading prices, to rise once more to above the level of two thousand pounds.
And the Federal Reserve (the US Central Bank) decided, more than an hour ago, to raise interest rates for the ninth time in a row, following the end of its second meeting this year, to decide the fate of interest.
The Fed announced an increase in interest rates by 0.25%, to a level between 4.75% and 5%.

The price of 18 karat gold recorded regarding 1723 pounds per gram.
The price of 21 karat gold stabilized at 2010 pounds per gram.
The price of 24 karat gold reached 2297 pounds per gram.
