After raid in Nablus: Rockets from Gaza

After a rocket attack from the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Air Force attacked several targets in the Palestinian Territory on Thursday night.

A day earlier, an Israeli military operation in the Palestinian city of Nablus had escalated. Eleven Palestinians were killed and more than 100 injured, according to Palestinian sources.

According to the army, a weapons factory and a military site of the radical Islamic Hamas ruling there were destroyed during the Israeli attack in the night. According to reports from the Gaza Strip, no one was injured. Columns of smoke rose from the two military posts. Several houses in the vicinity were slightly damaged.

Bloody start to the year

A few hours earlier, Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip fired six rockets at Israel. The Israeli army said five rockets had been intercepted and one had landed in an open area. No Palestinian group officially claimed responsibility for the attack.

Ten Israelis and one Ukrainian have been killed in connection with Palestinian attacks since the beginning of the year. During the same period, 61 Palestinians lost their lives. They were shot in confrontations with the Israeli army or following their own attacks.
