After Poland, Slovakia also announced to give warplanes to Ukraine

(Web Desk) After Poland, Slovakia has also announced to provide warplanes to Ukraine to help in the war once morest Russia.

According to the details, more than a year has passed since the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, during which time various European countries continue to help Ukraine, while now Slovakia has also decided to give warships of the Soviet era. Slovakia has become the second NATO member following Poland to announce the delivery of Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Hager announced in a tweet that his government has approved the delivery of 13 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, as well as part of Slovakia’s KUB air defense system. With the matter under consideration, Slovakia’s prime minister welcomed the positive response of other leaders to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s call for more arms supplies, saying the promise would be kept.

On the other hand, the Russian spokesperson strongly condemned the issue of NATO allies providing warplanes to Ukraine and said that providing planes to Ukraine will not affect Russia’s special military operation, but for Ukraine and its people. Adding to the problems, Russian spokesman Dmitry Paskov said there is no doubt that all of these things will be on the verge of destruction during Russia’s special military operation.

It should be noted that Slovakia grounded its MiG-29 fleet last year and no longer uses these aircraft, while Ukraine has demanded the supply of fourth-generation F-16 aircraft from Western countries.

It should also be remembered that earlier NATO member Poland also announced to supply 4 MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine. At the time of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, Ukraine had MiG-29 with 120 combat capabilities and 27 SU aircraft were present.
