After Lahore’s flop show, PTI won’t dare another rally: Atta Tarr

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf will not dare to hold another public gathering anywhere in the country after a flop show in Lahore.

Talking to the media, he said that PTI has failed miserably to get the support of its workers for the public rally in Lahore.

He claimed that all facilities were provided by the administration of Lahore and not only the roads were kept open but foolproof security was also provided in the rally area.

The federal minister further said that no barrier was imposed in any city, including Islamabad, Attock and Mianwali, from where PTI had called its workers to participate in the public gathering.

Attaullah Tarar said that PTI had failed to gather people in Islamabad rally on September 8 and the same thing happened to them in Lahore.

The federal minister challenged the PTI leadership to release the drone camera videos of the Lahore rally so that the public could know the number of people who attended the rally.

The police ended the PTI rally after the allotted time

The Lahore administration had given permission to the PTI to hold a rally in Kahna with 43 conditions. In these conditions, the meeting time was fixed from 3 pm to 6 pm.

On Saturday, PTI’s meeting started late and the party leaders were giving speeches that on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Lahore Musa Raza, when the time of the meeting was over, the police vacated the stage while the lights and sound system were also turned off.

According to DC, the time of the meeting was till six o’clock, so according to the agreement, the meeting could not be held after that.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was also scheduled to address the rally today.

However, by the time he reached the meeting place along with the workers, the stage was empty. They later left after a brief conversation.

Earlier, several PTI leaders addressed the rally and criticized the administration and the government for blocking roads and placing containers.

Speaking at the rally, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has said that his party will not accept any restrictions on the independent judiciary and efforts will be continued for the independence of the judiciary.

He said that ‘No OC is not available for the meeting. USA visa is available quickly with NOC. Not to fight an institution with an institution, not to fight the people with the people.’

Salman Akram Raja said that a court is being established through the constitutional amendment. We have to take to the streets, coercion will not be accepted.’

He claimed that ‘Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has promised that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur will apologize in writing and also in a rally.’

Uzma Bukhari further said that after PTI’s assurance regarding the apology, ‘we decided after thinking that he (Ali Amin Gandapur) will be busy in the rally today, so don’t send the apology in writing but the rally. Apologize during the speech. We will consider it enough.’

The PML-N leader said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has been given permission to hold a rally in the cattle market on Ring Road in Lahore, which PTI is calling Sabzi Mandi. ‘It doesn’t matter the market, there is a market.’

PTI Member of Punjab Assembly Farrukh Javed Moon told the media on Friday that the city administration of Lahore has given permission to the party to hold a meeting in Kahanna, a suburb of the city, from 2 pm to 6 pm on Saturday.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had initially sought permission from the Lahore administration to hold a rally at Minar Pakistan in the center of Lahore city, which was rejected.

The administration issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) to the PTI to hold a rally at Kahana, 28 km south of Minar Pakistan, on a court order.

With the announcement of the meeting on September 21 (today), PTI had started preparations at Minar Pakistan, but after the venue of the meeting was changed, the attention shifted to Kahana on Friday night, where almost the whole night the stage was set up and other activities were held. According to the permit, no banners or flags will be burnt in the jalsa and groups from outside the city will not spoil the atmosphere of the city, while no advertising accused will participate in the jalsa.

Another condition is that there will be no wall chalking and objectionable sloganeering, while no citizen will be forced to join the rally.
