Among these powers, the amendment of distinctive residency regulations, receiving and processing requests for them, in addition to enabling the center to carry out marketing operations and hold exhibitions and conferences inside and outside Saudi Arabia.
This step comes in order to attract human competencies and foreign investors, and to enhance the attractiveness of the investment environment in the Kingdom, especially since the center now has 9 executive powers, enabling it to carry out its activities independently.

For his part, economic analyst Saad Al Thaqafan said during his speech to Al Arabiya TV, that the distinctive residency aims to support and assist the state’s vision 2030, in addition to attracting foreign investments and human competencies to Saudi Arabia.
Al Thaqafan added that the center has the authority to take the opinion of investors, and the extent to which it can be applied on the ground and submitted to higher authorities, so it is close to investors and workers in this sector.
