Reporter reported fields With his presence within the Conservative Party on the issue of Johnson staying until October, when the annual Conservative Party conference takes place, citing “concerns within the party that Johnson will make important decisions regarding taxation and Northern Ireland”.

Local media have confirmed that Johnson will resign as the leader of the Conservative Party.

Our correspondent pointed out that “some ministers want Johnson to leave, but they cannot resign due to security considerations,” adding that “the Conservative Party Discipline Officer visited Downing Street this morning to persuade Johnson to resign.”

For its part, the British newspaper “Evening Standard” reported that Johnson had agreed during a conversation with the Chairman of the 1922 Committee of the Conservative Party, Graham Brady, to resign as prime minister, following the wave of mass resignations that swept his government during the past 48 hours.

After days of fighting to keep his position, most of Johnson’s allies, except for a few, abandoned him, as regarding 53 members of his cabinet within 48 hours.

It was a far cry from 2019, when Johnson, 58, took power with a large majority following winning votes in parts of Britain that had not previously supported the Conservative Party.

Even Finance Minister Nazim al-Zahawi, who was appointed on Wednesday, called on the prime minister to resign.

“This is an unsustainable situation that will only get worse for you, the Conservative Party, and most importantly, for the whole country,” he wrote on Twitter.
