Far from wanting to criticize the high North American authorities, who admittedly have little room for manoeuvre, the King prefers to cover himself by explaining that he wanted to put himself in the place of the imprisoned athlete. Unfortunately for him, it will take more to calm things down, his words having really upset a lot of people. His argument did not convince all his detractors, who once more set him on fire in the process:

LeBron James really blundered by speaking so awkwardly on the Brittney Griner case, although he tried to make up for it on the spot. However, the fans will not forgive him so easily for this gap, which risks sticking to his skin for a while yet.
