Egyptian-Emirati talks were held in the capital, Cairo, today, Sunday, during which Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE, reviewed the latest regional developments and common issues between the two countries.
This came during President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s reception, today, Sunday, in Cairo, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in the presence of Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Hassan Al-Suwaidi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Holding Company, and Maryam Al Kaabi, the UAE’s ambassador to Cairo.
The Egyptian presidential spokesman, Ambassador Bassam Rady, said in a statement that Al-Ain News viewed a copy of it, that President Sisi welcomed Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Egypt, stressing the “privacy” of Egyptian-Emirati relations that spanned decades, since the era of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who contributed to the consolidation of those fateful relations, which were reflected in the close coordination between the two countries.

The Egyptian president valued the UAE’s supportive stances for Cairo on many historical occasions, stressing the importance and vitality of the role of the Gulf country and its leadership in facing the challenges facing the Arab nation.
For his part, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed to President Sisi the greetings of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, praising Egypt’s pivotal role in the region, “as a mainstay for the security and stability of the Arab world.”
While praising Egypt’s keenness to enhance solidarity between Arab countries and advance joint Arab action, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the UAE’s keenness to strengthen and consolidate strategic relations between the two countries in a way that achieves common interests and enhances security and stability in the region, “in light of the estimated Egyptian efforts to preserve peace and security at the regional level during the current delicate stage in which challenges are growing,” according to the statement.
For his part, the Egyptian presidential spokesman said that the meeting dealt with ways to strengthen bilateral relations at the economic level, and increase Emirati investments in several areas in Egypt, especially the energy, transport, ports and tourism sectors, noting that he reviewed the latest developments in the regional situation and issues of common interest.
