After his eviction at BFMTV, Jean Jacques Bourdin finds a job!

At the end of January, Jean-Jacques Bourdin was dismissed from Altice, the parent company of BFMTV and RMC. The company had made this radical choice because the star journalist of the chain was targeted by accusations of sexual assault. Allegations he has “always firmly denied”. Faced with the torrent of media that these accusations had aroused and the resulting investigation, Altice had decided to officially separate from the star journalist a few months later.

“We are separating, I am so happy to be released, I am leaving for new adventures (…) long live free and independent journalism !!”, reacted on Twitter. This Wednesday, the former PAF sniper announced that he had found a new radio. He announced the news on Twitter: “Doing the job we love is a chance! Mine is to inform you, ask questions, share with you. I’m so happy to see you on Sud Radio this Monday between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Bourdin also gave the name of the show: “Parlons vrai chez Bourdin”.

In a press release, Sud Radio announced that the journalist would be responsible for giving the floor to listeners. Guests will also be present as specialists or experts to discuss current events. “Face-to-face meetings will also be offered to highlight contradictory opinions” with the moderation of Jean Jacques Bourdin”explains the radio station.

What were they accusing him of?

As a reminder, the journalist Fanny Agostini revealed to Mediapart that she had filed a complaint against the host for attempted sexual assault. She said in particular that he had “grabbed her neck”, and had “tried to kiss her several times”, without “succeeding”, in the swimming pool of a hotel in Calvi (Haute-Corse) in October 2013. While she had struggled, she had managed to extricate herself from this situation. What the host would have replied: “I always get what I want”. He would then have persisted with advances by email or SMS.

A few days later, a second complaint had arrived for sexual assault, harassment and sexual exhibition, for facts dating back to the end of the 1980s. In April, the investigation had been closed. no follow-up for prescription because it had been more than six years since the facts allegedly took place.
