Samuel Eto’o said on his Twitter account: “I would like to apologize for losing my temper and reacting in a way that did not suit my personality. I apologize to the fans for this unfortunate incident.”

Eto’o wrote that he and other Cameroonian supporters were subjected to “harassment and harassment by the Algerians” because of the outcome of the two teams’ World Cup qualifiers match earlier this year in Algeria.

The Algerian Football Federation appealed to FIFA to replay the second leg of the qualifiers with Cameroon due to a dubious charge, but FIFA rejected Algeria’s request.

Samuel Eto’o added, “I pledge to continue to resist the constant provocations and daily harassment of some Algerian supporters, in fact, since the Cameroon-Algeria match on March 29, I have been the target of insults and allegations of cheating without any evidence.”
