After finding three dead bodies in Lower Austria: woman’s partner dead

Police spokesman Raimund Schwaigerlehner confirmed the media reports when asked. It is assumed that the death was a suicide, and according to the current state of the investigation there is “no connection” with the crime in the Tulln district. After the discovery of the lifeless 29-year-old and the dead girls aged five and eight, a suicide is considered possible.

Death by suffocation

The bodies were discovered by the children’s father on Wednesday at around 3 p.m. According to the preliminary autopsy results, the girls died of suffocation, and the body of the 29-year-old had a gunshot wound. The crime scene investigation has now been completed, and the analysis of evidence and environmental surveys are still ongoing.

The results of a gunshot wound determination and a toxicology report were still pending. The latter is intended to clarify whether the two girls had been administered anything.
