Sindh Caretaker Provincial Sports Minister Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah has said that after a gap of eight years, ‘Sindh Games’ are being organized in the province, which will continue from February 23 to 26.
Speaking to Independent Urdu, Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah said: ‘Sindh Games were not being held in Sindh for the last eight years due to various reasons. Finally we are launching games, including different ones Sports Including 4000 cultural sports players will participate.
“Sindh wanted to organize the Games in various cities including Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur, but due to the current situation and political sit-ins in the province, we will now be limited to Karachi.”
He said that the Sindh Games will be held in Karachi at the National Coaching Center and 3,700 players and athletes will participate in 69 sports.
The provincial minister further said that 42 men’s sports and 27 women’s sports have been held in these sports fields.
According to Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah, holding Sindh Games is a milestone.

Responding to a question about parallel associations in different sports, the caretaker provincial minister said that illegal association of sports is a misuse of celebrity status and sportsmen are harmed due to these parallel associations. Therefore, such associations should be stopped so that the youth of Sindh can make their identity at the national and international level.
According to Dr. Syed Junaid Ali Shah: ‘Sindh Olympic Association needs to be strengthened. His election needs to be made effective. Parallel association should be eliminated. Any sports association must have the support of institutions like Pakistan Olympic Association, Sindh Olympic Association, Sindh Sports Department, Sindh Sports Board. can be resolved.’
