We know her for her marriage to the French footballer Christian Karembeu but since 2014, it was with Aram Ohanian that Adriana Karembeu was married. A love story that is now part of the past as she has just announced on her Instagram account.

Tuesday, December 27, 2022, a few days following Christmas, she announced via a story that everything was over with her husband. “It is with a heavy heart that I write these few lines. Twelve magnificent years spent together… I vibrated at every moment. I have never laughed so much as at your side. Our story was beautiful and I loved it so much… However, today we decided together to go our separate ways… Love will never end. You gave me the most beautiful treasure, our Nina. You are and always will be,” she captioned a photo of the couple.

Will she keep her ex-husband’s name?

It was in Marrakech that the ex-lovers met. An idyll that has always been lived far from photographers. “I want to remain discreet. Out of respect for my life before. Out of respect for my ex-husband…”, she explained almost ten years ago. The couple also lived in Morocco, far from prying eyes. However, in recent months, Adriana Karembeu resided mostly in Monaco.

Now that the separation has been announced, the question that can be asked is: will Adriana Karembeu keep the name of her second husband as she did with the famous footballer? “At home in Slovakia, a divorced woman keeps her married name. Today, on my passport appears the name of my husband, Ohanian”, she declared at the time. To be continued…
