After Dudley and Eunice, Belgium hit by a third storm? “It’s possible”, warns this meteorologist

Could a third storm hit our country? This is what meteorologist Jill Peeters tells our colleagues from Het Laatste Nieuws. After Dudley and EuniceBelgium might be dealing with Franklin.

“It will depend on the strength of the various low pressure cores. Low pressure cores are storms that hang around there in groups. As soon as they reach a certain limit they are given a name. This is determined by the UK Met Service. But another storm may pass over us early next week.”she explains.

Storm Eunice is expected in Belgium this Friday followingnoon. It should mainly touch the coast. The red code has even been activated for several provinces, the rest of the country being orange. “We have never issued a code red for the wind before. This might be the worst storm in years”, explained David Dehenauw.

Precautions are therefore essential.
