When Ruby found him, Xiao Bao didn’t immediately recognize her, but eventually remembered his family life at home. Ruby expressed regret for her dog’s suffering and thanked those who helped find him, including the uncle who drove her to the location in a farmer’s car. Xiao Bao was originally a community dog in Wong Nai Stew Village, Yuen Long. Five years ago, Ruby adopted him into a family life, and Xiao Bao also got used to family life. Unexpectedly, on January 22 this year, Xiaobao was frightened by someone setting off firecrackers nearby. He ran out of the house and got lost. Although he had a GPS necklace on his body, he suspected that the GPS was malfunctioning and might not display his location. Ruby has been searching for more than two months without giving up. Finally, on April 8, she received a call and learned that someone had found Xiao Bao in the Tai Tong Ecological Park. She went to the scene the next day and finally saw her pet dog.
Ruby recalled: “The uncle in the vineyard who was quarantined called me and said that his colleagues in Tai Tong Ecological Park saw my dog. It was really lucky, because there were no street lights there at night, so he also saw Xiao Bao. It turned out that there was a place where the restaurant piled up food waste as fertilizer, and the person saw Xiaobao looking for food there.”
When she came to the scene on April 9th, she saw Xiaobao. She called Xiaobao’s name first, but Xiaobao seemed to be unable to hear her cry. When she picked him up, Xiaobao still didn’t recognize her until she went home After eating and taking him for a walk, Xiaobao slowly remembered his family life in the past.
Ruby said that she had searched for that location many times in the past, but it turned out that Xiaobao had been hiding all the time, even when she heard her cry, she didn’t respond, no wonder she mightn’t find her. She is very grateful to those who helped to find the dog during this period, including the employees of the ecological garden, and the uncle of the vineyard who drove her to the location in the farmer’s car.
She said: “I don’t know how much he has suffered in the past two months. He has lost a size. He has been wandering in my village for most of his life. He has suffered a lot. I hope he can enjoy his old age when he returns home. I have bought a lot. give him food.”
