After being beaten with a stick, Hamdallah is threatened with arrest in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia – The incident of mutual assault between Moroccan Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah, the Al-Ittihad striker, and one of those present in the stands sparked controversy, following his team’s loss in the Al Hilal Clasico with a score of 4-1 in the Saudi Super Cup final.

Activists circulated on the social networking site “X” a video clip of Hamdallah, who went to one of Al Hilal’s fans and then sprayed water on him.

On the other hand, the fan responded by hitting the player with a stick he was holding, which sparked the anger of the Moroccan star, before those present were able to contain the situation.

According to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiah, the Moroccan star officially waived his rights towards the fan in the stick incident before the Emirati police.

The newspaper explained that the fan also dropped any legal claim once morest the player, while the public right in the incident remained.

However, in exclusive statements to the “Koora” website, the Moroccan is threatened with suspension in Saudi Arabia by the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee, according to what Ayman Al-Rifai, former head of the committee affiliated with the Saudi Football Association, confirmed.

Al-Rifai said: “Hamdallah will be punished for this incident, in accordance with the regulations, and if the match referee, Khaled Al-Taris, does not report the incident, it will be considered disgraceful behavior, and he will be suspended for two matches and fined 20,000 Saudi riyals.”

It is noteworthy that, according to journalist Maan Al-Quwaii, the other party to the incident is not a fan, but rather an honorary member of Al-Ittihad Club.

Hamdallah scored Al-Ittihad’s goal in the 21st minute, following he shot a penalty kick that was saved by Yassine Bounou, before returning to him to score once morest “Al-Zaeem.”
