After an interesting match, Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 26 runs

Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 26 runs in the first one-day match after an interesting contest.

In the match played at the Pindi Stadium, the Zimbabwean team got all out by scoring 255 runs in pursuit of the target of 282 runs given by Pakistan.

On behalf of Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi dismissed five while Wahab Riaz dismissed four players.

Brandon Taylor scored 112 and Midwere scored 55 runs for Zimbabwe.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 281 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

In the first ODI against Zimbabwe, captain Babar Azam’s call did not work and he got out after scoring 19 runs.

Before him, opener Raabad Ali was run out for 21 runs, while second opener Ramam Haq was run out for 58 runs. He hit six fours in his 75-ball innings.

For Zimbabwe, Chisoro and Mazarbani took two wickets each while Mamba and Iskandar Raza took one wicket each.

National team all-rounder Shadab Khan will not be able to play the first ODI match against Zimbabwe due to unfitness. Captain Babar Azam said that the wicket is looking quite good. Our effort is to make a good partnership.

He said that he will try to give a big target to Zimbabwe. 4 fast bowlers have been added to the team. Haris Rauf will make his debut in the first ODI against Zimbabwe.

Wahab Riaz, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Imad Wasim, Abid Ali, Haris Sohail, Mohammad Rizwan, Faheem Ashraf, Iftikhar Ahmed and Imamul Haque are also included in the team.

Babar Azam said in a short talk that the players are fully fit and the morale of the team is also high. Will try to play well against Zimbabwe. We cannot take any team easy.

The second match of the three ODI series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be played on Sunday and the third match will be played on November 3.
