The man had previously been found lying on the ground by a car driver on Sistranser Straße (L9). The exact circumstances of the accident remain unclear for the time being. The police have asked any witnesses to come forward.
The driver, other road users and rescue workers administered first aid on the spot until the emergency doctor arrived, the police said. The Austrian was then taken to the hospital, where he died in the late afternoon – the accident had occurred at around 3:30 p.m.
