After a trip to the Caribbean: William and Kate want to break the royal rules

Prince William was already clear during the trip that something had to change here and is said to have spoken to his advisors regarding the fact that he wanted to contribute his own opinion and deal with questions such as “compensation” for injustice committed through slavery.

“He definitely won’t be speaking out on a regular basis but believes if the monarchy has something to say then they should say it,” a source told the Daily Mail.

He also struck this notch with his speech at the end of the representative tour. “I know this trip has brought even more focus to questions regarding the past and the future. In Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas, it is up to the people to decide the future. But we really enjoyed spending time with the communities in all three countries and learning more regarding the issues that are most important to them,” says William. They want to give more support in this regard, but not “tell people what they have to do”.

But, as a palace insider says, William has one big plus: “He listens to people and he has a very clear vision for the future. He’s very open-minded regarding what’s modern and relevant. He wants to take over his grandmother’s success and build on it in his own way.”
