The 15-year-old suspect, who had fled since a knife attack at Dornbirn train station on Sunday, turned himself in to the police late Tuesday followingnoon. The executive made the announcement on Wednesday. The youth appeared with a lawyer at the State Criminal Police Office and was taken into custody. His hearing is scheduled for today, Wednesday. On Sunday around 6:00 p.m., a dispute broke out between a 32-year-old from Iraq and three 15-year-olds on the forecourt of Dornbirn train station. The man was stabbed in the back several times with a knife. The adolescents fled, two of them were caught on Sunday as part of a search, and there was no trace of the third youth for the time being. The two arrested 15-year-olds were taken to the Feldkirch prison following being questioned. A magistrate will decide on the further whereregardings of the two youths on Wednesday.
The injuries inflicted by the stab wounds on the 32-year-old were life-threatening, but the man is in stable condition following emergency surgery. However, he is not yet ready for interrogation. It is also unknown what triggered the dispute.
