“For more than 30 years, I have been looking for them, and thank God, I knew that they are alive..and the dream of my life is to see my children before I die.”.. With these spontaneous words mixed with grief, the story of Hajja Faiza Marjan, daughter of the Buhaira governorate, who was separated from her children for more than 30 years, might be summarized. You knew anything regarding them until I accidentally learned their whereregardings following a long journey of searching and suffering.
Hajja Faiza told Al-Youm Al-Sabea: “I married a Palestinian person in the Aleppo region, Syria, more than 30 years ago, and I stayed there for more than 14 years, and gave birth to two sons, Samer and Rida, and our lives were very normal until family disputes broke out.”
She added, “After a period of my marriage, I went to Egypt to see my family on a family visit, but I did not know how to return once more because of the problems of travel and residence..and I tried more than once to travel to them, to the point that I traveled to Jordan to enter Syria from it because of the war conditions, but I did not know either.”
Hajja Faiza explained that she lost hope that her children would return to her arms once more, and she surrendered to the fait accompli.
Follow up: “What should I do? I handed over my command to God and got married once more in Egypt because of my difficult circumstances and gave birth to two sons, but my adult children who are from my Palestinian husband, I never forget them and are always in my thoughts.
And regarding the details of her knowledge of the whereregardings of her children and getting to know them, Hajja Faiza said that she learned by chance through one of her neighbors that her children reside in Germany and that they emigrated from Syria with the start of the civil war and that they were looking for her and published pictures of her on social media, which led to identifying and communicating with her..
And regarding her feelings at the moment of getting to know her children following the absence of many years, she said that they are unforgettable moments to the point that she fell into a state of fainting from the intensity of her joy and disbelief of what was happening.
