The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that it will host a one-day international tri-series with New Zealand and South Africa in February 2025 following a gap of more than 20 years.
According to a statement issued by the PCB, this development was revealed in the meeting of Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi with the counterparts of New Zealand and South Africa Cricket Board Roger Toews and Lawson Naidu in Dubai.
“The agenda of the meeting included the ODI tri-series between Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa, which will be held just before the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan in February 2025,” the statement said.
PCB last hosted a tri-series in October 2004 with Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
“The tri-series has been finalized and welcomed by the host and both member boards,” the statement said.
Chairman PCB also invited Roger Toews and Lawson Naidu to visit Pakistan.

He said that ‘PCB is also looking forward to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and it will be a great pleasure for Pakistan to host 8 top ODI teams on its soil.’
