Daniela Milanese (47) will soon say “Ade mitnang” for the last time. The native of Solothurn was part of the SRF Sport moderation team for 20 years. Now it’s over. MySports confirmed on Thursday what Blick already knew.
Milanese was not only popular with the audience, she was also a highly valued colleague internally. Embarrassed faces at SRF Sport, while the young pay station MySports celebrates the recent arrival. “Daniela is an absolute TV professional!”, says editor-in-chief Toby Stüssi.
MySports picks SRF stars like ripe apples
Since the departure of program manager Steffi Buchli (today sports manager of the Blick Group), Stüssi has been picking the stars at Leutschenbach like ripe apples with MySports. First he grabbed TV darling Jann Billeter, only to announce the arrival of star commentator Stefan Bürer a few months later.
Particularly bitter for SRF Sport: Milanese worked at SRF not only as a moderator, but also as a producer and project manager. Another massive outflow of knowledge at the Leutschenbach. With the prominent departures of Billeter, Bürer and Milanese alone, 60 years of experience are leaving the sports department.
No more hockey rights from the new season
The departure of Daniela Milanese – her passion has always been ice hockey – is likely to be related to the loss of hockey rights. From the coming season, SRF will no longer be able to show live ice hockey games, and the game summaries that were shown in the “Eishockey aktuell” program will no longer be available in this form.
Live hockey and highlights on Blick.ch
Milanese will also be shown on Blick TV from September. The Blick Group recently secured a piece of the ice hockey cake for the next five years. On Tuesday we show a live game including a MySports accompanying program. The highlights and goals of all games will be available from September on Blick.ch.
