After 20 years, Apple is abandoning the iPod

Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who died in 2011, introduced the iPod in October 2001. Different versions were then developed over the years.

In 2014, Apple had already stopped production of the classic model. By 2017, the smaller iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle had also been discontinued. The iPod Touch, which looks more like an iPhone with its touchscreen, was last updated in 2019.
