The famous Peruvian singer Susana Baca, winner of three Latin Grammy Awards, who was Minister of Culture, was admitted to the intensive care unit of a Lima hospital, according to what her family reported on Friday.

Her husband, Ricardo Pereira, said on Instagram, “Susanetta is in a very delicate condition, and she is in the intensive care unit at the Edgardo Ribagliati Hospital, where the medical staff is doing everything in their power to recover her.” He added that the 79-year-old singer “suffers from advanced age and new unexpected diseases,” without adding further details.
