QA few days before the opening of the European Union-African Union summit in Brussels on February 17 and 18, a voice was raised, from First Nations territories, in Ottawa, within the Senate, in the midst of 44e legislature of the Parliament of Canada, to call for Africa to be placed on the international economic and political priorities of the country with the maple leaf flag. This voice is that of Amina Gerba, appointed by Governor General Mary Simon on the advice of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, independent senator from Rigaud, a territory approximately west of the island of Montreal and on the Haut-Saint -Laurent.
