Africa Cup of Nations: Burkina Faso snatch their qualification

Burkina Faso painfully qualified for the round of 16 by neutralizing Ethiopia (1-1). Cameroon and Cape Verde tied the points (1-1) in their last Group A game. Top scorer in the competition after three games, Cameroon captain Vincent Aboubakar opened the scoring before Garry Rodrigues gave him answer. The Indomitable Lions finish at the top of their pool. Also on the program for this edition, the death of seven demonstrators in Sudan, Monday, January 17, during demonstrations against the regime of putschist Abdel Fattah al-Burhane.
