KABUL: Afghanistan’s capital has been rocked by explosions for the third time this month, this time apparently targeting two vehicles at two separate locations.
According to the World News Agency, two explosions were heard one after the other in the capital of Afghanistan, both explosions took place in separate places, but due to the proximity of these two places to each other, the sound of explosions spread panic in the area.
In the first blast, a vehicle was hit, which completely destroyed the car and the four occupants of the car have been shifted to the hospital with serious injuries, where the condition of the four is said to be critical.
The second blast hit a main highway, injuring 3 people. Dozens of people were injured in the stampede after the blasts and several vehicles collided. More than 12 injured passers-by have been brought to two major hospitals in the area.
Kabul police say that both explosions were mines that were detonated by a remote control device, but it is not yet clear who were the targets of the attack. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blasts.
It should be noted that this is the third major explosion in Kabul this month. Despite the intervention of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo between the negotiating teams of the Taliban and the Afghan government in Doha, no progress has been made and violent incidents have increased in Kabul. is
