Universities in Afghanistan have been banned from girls because they “did not respect the dress code”, justified the Taliban minister of higher education, the G7 foreign ministers denouncing measures once morest women who might constitute “a crime once morest humanity”. On Tuesday evening, in a terse letter, Minister of Higher Education, Neda Mohammad Nadeem, ordered all public and private universities in the country to prevent female students from attending classes for an indefinite period without giving any explanation. The hijab is obligatory in Islam,” said Neda Mohammad Nadeem in reference to the obligation imposed on women to cover their face and body completely.
