Afghan boy shot dead after protesting urban rodeo

The facts occurred Saturday in the middle of the day in the district of Europe, in Colmar. A group of Afghans shared a barbecue, before being bothered by the noise of a scooter whose driver was performing a rodeo.

There followed an altercation with the driver who ended up leaving the scene before returning, shooting one of the members of the group and fleeing, according to the account of a police source. “One of the perpetrators, on a scooter, was going back and forth,” reports another police source, without mentioning a rodeo or scooter rally.

“The situation then degenerated quickly with the group of Afghans to which the victim belongs, and a group to which the driver of the scooter belonged”, says this source once more. According to her, the shooter was not necessarily the driver of the scooter but was anyway a member of this last group.
