A Samsung may be preparing something new with the launch of its next line of foldable cell phones. As reported by the portal ET Newsthe South Korean should launch the traditional Galaxy Z Fold 6 and also a more affordable version of the model, in addition to the Z Flip 6 as it has done in recent years.
As expected, the launch of a cheaper model implies cutting some features to reduce production costs. In this case, one of the features that the model will not have is support for use with the S Pen. Meanwhile, the more Premium version of the device will continue with this function normally.

Samsung may be thinking regarding changing its market strategy to launch a more affordable Galaxy Z Fold 6. The information was shared by analysts at The Elec at the beginning of the week.

Therefore, in search of “regaining ground”, the company can bet on a “simplified” Galaxy Z Fold 6 to expand its participation within China.
Currently, China is the largest global market for foldable cell phones. Therefore, Samsung wants to deliver an option that can go head to head with devices from Huawei, Honor and OPPO.

The possible affordable Galaxy Z Fold 6 might leave aside the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset to opt for an intermediate/premium solution or even a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Market analysts also do not rule out that this device might use the Exynos 2400 chipset from the Galaxy S24 line. Other simplifications can also be made to the technical specifications, but Samsung will hardly be able to change the structure of the smartphone.
The development and assembly of foldable devices are considered expensive and Samsung cannot reduce the quality of its devices. Therefore, the cut will need to be made in the technical sheet.
