The New Urban Communities Authority revealed plans to provide a large number of new apartments in cooperation with the Social Housing Fund, targeting all segments of society, including employees, retirees, widows and divorcees.
The Ministry of Housing stated that these apartments have an area of 90 square meters with full finishing, and they will be owned by installments over 30 years, so that the buyer pays an advance of 25 thousand pounds, and a monthly installment that does not exceed 800 pounds.
This initiative comes within the framework of the state’s efforts to provide affordable housing for low- and middle-income people, and to meet the growing demand for apartments.
Advertise new apartments
The Urban Communities Authority stated that it is scheduled to announce the provision of new residential apartments in the last months of 2023, following completing plans and final amendments.
The handover of these apartments to buyers will start between 18 to 36 months according to the implementation schedule to be announced.
The authority also specified a set of conditions that must be met by applicants for reservation, including: age, marital status, monthly income, and not owning a residential property before.
These conditions will be announced in detail when offering and booking new apartments.
The conditions described for completing the reservation
The conditions for applying for new apartments from the Urban Communities Authority include the following:
– The age of the applicant should not be more than 21 years and not less than 51 years, and 75 years for pensioners.
The applicant has not previously obtained a housing unit from the state.
The applicant’s monthly income should not be less than 2,700 pounds, and his pension should not exceed 7,000 pounds.
Submit proof of residence in the nearest new cities where housing units are available.
– Other requirements will be announced when starting the process of offering and reserving new housing units.
Reservation procedures
The papers required to apply and book new apartments include:
A copy of the national identity card of the applicant and the wife, if any.
A copy of the marriage contract.
Children’s birth certificates, if any.
– A document showing the applicant’s net monthly income of salary or pension.
A similar document for the wife if she is working, or a declaration of non-work.
Receipt of payment of the reservation amount and subsequent payments.
Documents showing any additional sources of income.
Other documents may be required upon commencement of application as per the official announcement.
